Mixing three materials in one small piece is difficult to do well, and the balance here comes from keeping the frame minimal. The Nero Plant Table pairs a grey glass top with a black marble base on a black iron frame, so the eye moves between the transparency above and the solidity below. That combination gives it more depth than a single material piece would have. It works holding a plant, a lamp or a drink beside a chair, functioning as an occasional side table as readily as a plant stand. The clean lines suit modern and contemporary rooms.
