Colour is rare in floor lamps, which is exactly why the Reid Velvet Green Floor Lamp 157.5cm stands out in a room full of neutrals. The dark green shade brings depth without brightness, and the brass-plated metal base warms it from below rather than competing with it. Green of this tone works particularly well against cream walls, timber and natural fibres, adding a point of interest without needing anything else in the room to change. At 157.5cm it sits well beside a sofa or armchair, throwing light at a comfortable level for conversation and reading. It plugs straight in and takes one E27 globe.
