An elongated octagon is an unusual shape for a mirror, sitting somewhere between a rectangle and an oval without committing to either. The Santiago Flora Emboss Wooden Wall Mirror 76cm uses that form, with an intricate carved floral pattern worked around the mango wood frame. Mango carries its own grain, so the timber tone varies from piece to piece and the carving catches that variation. The darker finish gives the frame weight against a pale wall. At 76cm it suits a bedroom, an entryway or above a console. The carved detail rewards being hung where people pass close.
